Do us a "favor"...

Amongst all the other things that we are now rushing to make decisions or finish, favors have not been decided. Definitely something DIY and food-related. Since we're both bakers (me ... leisurely, him... work), a pastry-related favor was ideal. We exercised the idea of making cupcakes, cream puffs, truffles, tea cakes, etc. But since we're also having a destination wedding, ensuring ultimate freshness of our favors are slightly more difficult. Hmm....

Now while cleaning my very very very long list of bookmarks, I was able to look through a lot websites to see if my interests were still current. Voila! I found these from Inspired Bride. How adorable!~!!

Floral Decisions...

Yes. I know it is only 50 days till our wedding day and yet these decisions have not been made. Due to a bit of budget cutting, we've had to be a little more creative in our choices. But for the time being, here are some ideas we like for the reception.

Bridal Processional

So we have an uneven bridal party – 4 girls/3 boys. Trying to figure out the order for the past two nights. Any suggestions?

Our current list of options are:

1) Groom + Best Man up there. Bridesmaid + Groomsmen, Bridesmaid + Groomsmen, Maid of Honor + Maid of Honor

2) Groom is up there. Bridesmaid + Groomsmen, Bridesmaid + Groomsmen, Maid of Honor + Best Man+ Maid of Honor

3) Groom + Best Man + Groomsmen + Groomsmen up there. Bridesmaid, Bridesmaid, Maid of Honor , then Maid of Honor.

What about parents? Do they walk? If so:

How and when? Before or after WP?

Makeup Makeup Makeup!

At the end of June, M and I made a quick trip to Vegas to finalize a few things. One being a makeup/hair trial. It didn't go as successfully as I had liked. I ended up redoing my makeup because there was no way I was going out with those colors or that look. I should have spoke up. I should have told her I didn't like it. I should have this... I should have that. But I'm giving it one more try. Hopefully I will get to book one soon and get a trial the next time I'm in Vegas.

But in the meantime, I love this look! Definitely want my eyes to pop and a little darker makeup is definitely okay by me. Just beautiful!

Wedding Dreams...

So recently, I've been having nightmares about the wedding. Not in regards of getting married but rather things not being done or what not. I've been sharing them with one of my MOHs and today, she sent me this email. Too funny! Had to share it! :)

"ok...so last night it was MY turn fordreaming about your wedding. omg. i woke up thinking "WTF?" the wedding was outdoors, but it looked kind of like the place where the Laguna art fair is held...no pavement, just dirt. It was NOT pretty...and quite dusty. Carla didn't show up for some reason, and Aya and Veraya had been replaced with 2 blonds. I didn't know who they were, but you did. I don't remember who you said they were, but they weren't close friends or relations. You didn't want to be the center of attention, so you walked with me and thenstood on the other side of me instead of in the bride's place. Standing in your place: Yoshi. LOL. I remember that I whispered to you, "how is this gonna work?" Moony was not happy. I didn't have on my purple dress...it was a different dress, sort of like a table cloth material that was patterned...purple with green leaves, I think...and hideous. Like a country-bumpkin dress. But YOU took the cake. You were wearing jeans and a flannel shirt. LOL LOL LOL. I think Moony had a t-shirt on that had a tuxedo printed on it...y'know the kind I mean? omg...so weird."

How about you? Did you or are you having any wedding nightmares?
